Saluting S. Clay Wilson Legendary Underground Comix pioneer S. Clay Wilson, whose birthday is this month, had himself a tough time last fall. He was found lying in a San Francisco street between two parked cars, the victim of either a mugging or a drunken fall, and had suffered severe brain injury. After weeks in the hospital he seems to be on the road to recovery and we hope he'll be back in the groove with his over-the-top comix about bikers, demons, and lowlifes soon. Don't miss the great book collection of the adventures of The Checkered Demon, his most famous creation. You can contribute to the fund to help with his medical expenses by making a check out to 'S.
