Important Information for Customers Outside the U.S.A.

We are happy to fill your order for shipment outside the U.S., but there are some things you should be aware of before you order, to avoid any unhappy surprises later on:

Payment must be made in U.S. funds. To order from our online catalog, you may use Visa, Mastercard, or American Express (your charge card company will probably charge a fee for conversion to US money). See instructions on using the online catalog as a tool but completing your order by other means, on our General Information Page. When ordering by mail using our print catalog, the following payment methods can also be used:
Paypal: If you wish, you can send us an order by e-mail (include all details of what you want, and your full shipping address) and pay us using Paypal. The e-mail address for payment is mail@ripoffpress.com. After we've been notified of your payment we'll process and ship your order.

Shipment is by U.S. Mail. Effective May 2007, Surface Shipment outside the US is no longer available. The good news is, availability of flat rate mailers for overseas shipment is going to result in some lower rates for shipping via air, and you will now not have to wait weeks for your comix to arrive. The United States Postal Service has set a service goal of delivery within one to two weeks from date of shipment for the new First Class Mail International and Priority Mail International service classes (of course, a lot will depend on the efficiency of your local postal service once it reaches your country). Restricted Countries: due to problems with shipments to countries for which adequate postal insurance is not available, we must limit the value of shipments to these countries to U.S. $50. Parcels at or below $50 in value will be shipped at your risk. If you live in one of them, we recommend you place small orders to reduce the risk of loss.

WE DO NOT SHIP AT ALL to the following countries: Customs regulations in some countries prohibit the importation of certain books. Obscenity and "advocation of drug use" are often grounds for confiscation. We can't be responsible if this happens, so it's up to you to learn what materials are forbidden before you order. On all foreign shipments the Postal Service now requires a declaration listing the contents to be posted on the outside of the package (for instance "paperback books" or "tee shirt"). There may be import duty on some items such as shirts. Please don't ask us to lie on customs forms as to the contents, since this would render any insurance on the package null and void.

Video Tapes are in the U.S. VHS format. This format may not be compatible with television sets/VCR's used in other countries. Remember that returns on videos and CD's are limited to replacement of a defective copy with a good copy of the same title.
